Comparison of Flow Routing Algorithms Used in Geographic Information Systems Track: Water Resources Author(s): Christine Lam, John Wilson This paper reports the results of a series of experiments to evaluate the performance of five flow routing algorithms that have been implemented inside one or more GIS. A fuzzy classification was used to delineate landscape classes (hilltops, steep slopes, footslopes, etc.) on DEMs drawn from three different locations, and a series of maps and tabular outputs were produced to compare the flow routing predictions in these landscape zones. The results show that the choice of flow routing algorithm has important consequences for the calculation of upslope contributing areas, sediment transport capacity, topographic wetness index, and several other terrain-based indices. متن کاملA Comparison of Four Multi-Objective Meta-Heuristics for a Capacitated Location-Routing Problem
In this paper, we study an integrated logistic system where the optimal location of depots and vehicles routing are considered simultaneously. This paper presents a new mathematical model for a multi-objective capacitated location-routing problem with a new set of objectives consisting of the summation of economic costs, summation of social risks and demand satisfaction score. A new multi-objec...
متن کاملThree New Heuristic Algorithms For The Fleet Size And Mix Green Vehicle Routing Problem
In recent years, great efforts have been made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by vehicles. Petroleum products produces greenhouse gas emissions, therefore reducing the use of these products can make a major contribution to reducing pollution. The Fleet Size and Mix Vehicle Routing Problem is one of the most widely used routing branches. In this problem, there are vehicle with different capac...
متن کاملReliability and Performance Evaluation of Fault-aware Routing Methods for Network-on-Chip Architectures (RESEARCH NOTE)
Nowadays, faults and failures are increasing especially in complex systems such as Network-on-Chip (NoC) based Systems-on-a-Chip due to the increasing susceptibility and decreasing feature sizes. On the other hand, fault-tolerant routing algorithms have an evident effect on tolerating permanent faults and improving the reliability of a Network-on-Chip based system. This paper presents reliabili...
